Located in the beautiful Carson Valley of Gardnerville in Nevada we have been providing exceptional angus genetics for 40 years.
Hone Ranch is one of the largest registered Angus breeders in Nevada. Our program is focused on breeding sound functional cattle that will thrive on the west's arid range lands. We are constantly searching for out cross high efficiency genetics. Using the latest tools such as RFI we believe that you can't improve performance unless you measure and compare cattle not only within our herd, but against other herds as well. That is why we market so many of our bulls in the toughest bull tests in the country. Our bulls have excelled in what is in our opinion, the two toughest tests in America. The Midland Bull Test in Montana and the Snyder Livestock test here in Nevada, offer the most thorough performance evaluations around. Of course none of this is possible without an intense focus on the momma cow. Our cow herd is intensively selected for structural soundness, good dispositions and moderate frame size. Our breeding decisions are always based on improving the cow herd. Every good bull had a great mother, and a bull is only as good as the daughters he leaves in the herd.
